Rifle scope mounting question

I am wanting to order a set of Burris XTR rings for mounting a bushnell 6500 to a AR-10 with a flattop weaver rail

the scope is a 50mm objective and a 30mm tube

the burris rings are four heights..1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1

i am not familure with these rings hoped someone could help me order the right height rings to clear the rail.

or subjest a better ring setup?

Thank you in advance

I don't think you will have enough height with even 1" tall rings to get an appropriate cheek weld. You need at least a 1/2 inch tall base or a pair of 1/2 inch "risers" in addition to the 1 inch rings for a total of 1 1/2 or more.

This A.R.M.S. base is 3/4 inch in height:

I have not seen that set up before...it looks very versitile.....does it have a name or part # ?>>>>>>>>>EDIT DUH!!!! i looked up the PEPR on the pic and found it ...I do notice it only provides a 1" rise and your recommending a 1.5 rise to get a good correct cheek weld....THank you

by my calculations if they are correct all i need to clear is a 1/2 ring...but you think i will need more for a appropriate cheek weld/ eye alignment?

if i ordered 3/4 inch risers...i could then add a rail riser to get more if i needed it...i have a couple of rail risers here on the shelf?

I've got a 44mm scope with one inch rings. I also bought the risers, but I find that it's awkward to use the risers with the one inch rings I think with the 50 you would be cutting it close with the one inch, but it would prolly be doable.

Best way would probably be to check out someone else's setup at your local gunshow or gunshop.
